About an Ex-Pat Living in China. and its creator John.

 

Hi, my name is John and I would like to tell you a little about myself and this website An Ex-Pat Living in China.

So that you can see it is a real person talking to you here, the picture on this page is of me in the Chinese city of Chengdu, at a Panda conservation centre. Can you see the panda in the tree?

The pictures below that are from Cancun in Mexico, and the picture on the right was taken in Shanghai.

I am from England but have lived in China since 2010. My wife is Chinese and we have a young son to complete our family.

​

A little bit of information on this website, it is my intention to write about my life in China as an outsider, the challenges faced by a foreigner living in this country, the good and bad. Take a look at my blog posts, leave a comment if you would like, alternatively if there is a question about China that you would like an answer to then leave that question in the comments box or email me at china_saint@yahoo.com , either way I will answer your questions or comments.

I have been writing online for several years, much of that time has been spent on writing reviews of products you can buy, travel reviews of destinations around the world and the best ways to get there as well as where to stay, and what to see and do while you are there.

I work in China as a teacher, currently at a middle school in the city of Wuhan in Hubei province. Previously I have taught mostly in high schools in Guiyang city in Giuzhou province also in Luzhou city in Sichuan province. I first worked in Harbin city in the north east of China, the home of a famous ice and snow festival every winter, but far too cold for me.

So you can see I have plenty of experience of this topic, and I am happy to pass that experience on to you through my blog and other information pages about China.
